Marcin Cywka
In
1997, at age 10, Marcin Cywka, a young Polish boy on his way home from
school, was attacked by wolf dogs. The dogs severely mangled his left
arm and legs and ripped off his right arm at the shoulder. Marcin, near
death, was taken to a nearby hospital where the multiple wounds of his
legs and left arm were repaired and the remainder of his right arm
amputated.
Nerve damage had left Marcin's left arm
non-functional and he was completely dependent on his mother to dress,
clean and feed himself. But thanks to the Hope For Tomorrow Foundation
in 1999, Marcin has a new prothesis allowing him to do many things for
himself. |
