Meera Pardeshi

Meera Pardeshi
Meera Pardeshi was severely burned when a kitchen stove exploded. Her injuries were so severe that although Indian doctors saved her life her scars were so hideous that she refused to leave her home.

It was at the request of the late Mother Teresa that Dr. Jeffrey Meilman and the Hope For Tomorrow Foundation agreed to help Meera. In 1998 the foundation brought her to the United States and persuaded Kenmore Mercy Hospital Anesthesiologist, Dr. Thomas O'Connor, and Dr. Meilman to donate the services needed to make Meera feel human again.

Today Meera is confident and part of the family of children who have been helped by the Hope For Tomorrow Foundation.

Meera was blessed by Pope John Paul II 1998.
